About the Game

BlockLoop is a unique puzzle platformer that challenges you to survive in an ever-changing world of your own creation. The twist? You must place a new block after clearing each level, gradually filling up the space and increasing the difficulty.

Core Gameplay

  • Clear levels by reaching the exit
  • Place a new block (or sometimes remove one) after each level clear
  • Think strategically about block placement to avoid getting stuck
  • As the level fills up, the challenge intensifies
  • Survive as long as possible in this self-created maze

How to Play

Move: Arrow keys or WASD

Jump: Space or W

Place Block: Space or E (when placing)

Restart: R

Block Types

  • ⬛ Block: Solid block
  • 🧽 Eraser Block: Removes a block
  • 🌀 Teleport Block: Moves player to random spot
  • 🔄 Flip Block: Rotates the game area
  • 🎵 Music Block: Toggles background music
  • 💥 Bomb Block: Removes all placed blocks
  • 🔺 Gravity Block: Reverses gravity direction

Gameplay Tips

  • Plan ahead: Think about future levels when placing blocks
  • Use special blocks wisely to create escape routes
  • Balance between creating paths and leaving open space
  • Collect coins (🌟) for bonus points, but don't trap yourself
  • Remember, there's no undo - each placement is crucial!

I do not know if this is a bug, but I got 🧽 when there were no blocks to delete

Yes, it’s not a bug! I intentionally left it that way. It’s a strategic challenge -if you use the bomb block right before the eraser block appears, you might end up with nothing to erase. It’s a way to keep you on your toes and make sure you’re paying attention to the upcoming blocks! But I did make sure that the eraser block can’t be the very first block to appear in a new game session. That would be unfair! 😄 Thank you for playing!
